Efforts to strengthen human development will be sustained, with emphasis on health, education, and social protection. In the health sector, the UN will support Zambia in expanding universal health coverage, increasing domestic financing for HIV programmes, and securing consistent access to essential commodities. There will also be a renewed focus on eliminating tuberculosis, hepatitis, malaria, and neglected tropical diseases.
