How our partners support the UN in Zambia
Funding partners including Member States, multilateral organizations, and the private sector, are vital stakeholders who enable the UN in Zambia to implement its national development strategy, the Zambia-UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023–2027, by providing financial resources, technical expertise, and operational flexibility.
FINANCIAL OVERVIEW AND RESOURCE MOBILIZATION The UN in Zambia invested a total of $101,738,698.00 in 2024 to support Zambia’s development priorities core areas under Prosperity, People, Peace, Planet and Partnerships which cuts across.

This support is channelled through three core mechanisms: 

Financial Contributions (including unrestricted Core, earmarked Voluntary, and pooled funds for greater coherence). 

Strategic and Technical Partnership (where partners co-design programs, provide specialized expertise, and help mobilize broader financing); and

 Accountability and Coherence (where partners demand transparency through common budgetary frameworks and joint reporting) collectively ensure that the UN system acts as an efficient and impartial integrator to accelerate Zambia's progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
